Westlake University professor's startup raises $69M in 6 months for humanoid robot 'general brain'

Westlake Robotics, a spin-off from Westlake University, has closed its Series A round, bringing total funding to 500 million yuan across four rounds in six months. The company, founded by Professor Wang Donglin, is developing a 'general brain' for humanoid robots, centered on its GAE (General Action Expert) large model for full-body motion control. The funds will be used to develop a unified full-body model for humanoid robots and to build a talent hub for embodied intelligence.
