China Coast Guard spokesperson Jiang Lue stated on September 18 that the Philippine vessel 3015 deliberately altered course and accelerated to cut across the bow of the Chinese coast guard vessel Sanzhou Aoting near Xianbin Reef in the Nansha Islands, causing a collision. Global Times obtained video evidence showing the Philippine ship attempted the maneuver twice within ten minutes, with the second attempt resulting in the collision.
