China has 'optimized and refined' fiscal-financial policies to boost domestic demand, vice minister says

Vice Finance Minister Liao Min announced at a State Council press conference that policies coordinating fiscal and financial tools to stimulate domestic demand have been 'optimized and refined.' The changes, made in line with a July 30 Politburo meeting and feedback from research, include broadening the scope of interest subsidies, adding more handling institutions, and raising the ceiling on amounts. Liao said the ministry is studying further new measures to be rolled out in the second half of the year.
