Commerce Ministry says over 100 million parcels enter and leave rural areas daily

China's Assistant Minister of Commerce, Yuan Xiaoming, said at a State Council press conference that the country has pushed forward the construction of county-level commercial systems since 2021, achieving full coverage of commercial outlets across counties, townships, and villages. Over 3,600 logistics distribution hubs in counties and townships have been upgraded, and more than 100 million parcels flow in and out of the countryside every day.
