CPC Expels Former Shanxi Official Yue Puyu from Party

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced on September 2 that Yue Puyu, former deputy director of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China for serious disciplinary violations. An investigation found he engaged in power-for-money deals, accepted banquets and travel arrangements in violation of the Eight-point Regulation, failed to report personal matters, and illegally intervened in market activities. His case has been transferred to prosecutors for criminal investigation.
