New orders index ticks up, keeping China's logistics sector in expansion territory
新订单指数回升 物流业景气指数保持在扩张区间
China's logistics sector remained in expansion in July, with the Logistics Prosperity Index at 50.4%, according to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and reported by Xinhua. While the headline index dipped 0.2 percentage points from June, the new orders sub-index rose 0.2 points to 50.5%, marking its fifth consecutive monthly increase. Officials cited steady demand from industrial and consumer logistics, particularly in rail, road, and multimodal transport, while noting that typhoons and severe weather disrupted some air and water transport orders.
